Fabio Lepratto, an architect born in Milan, earned a master’s degree from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2009, completing part of his studies at the Technical University of Delft thanks to the Erasmus program. At the same time, he earned a diploma in Management of Innovation from the Alta Scuola Politecnica and a double master’s degree from the Polytechnic University of Turin.
Since 2010, having obtained his professional qualification, he has been continuously engaged in design, participating in competitions, developing commissions, and collaborating with architectural firms and engineering companies, focusing primarily on housing and urban design. Between 2013 and 2016, he completed a PhD in Architecture, Urban Planning, and Conservation of Living Spaces and Landscape. In February 2017, he earned his degree with honors, with a research thesis investigating the role of architectural design in the regeneration of post-World War II collective housing. After tutoring in numerous design laboratories, workshops, and the PhD program in Architectural, Urban, and Interior Design, since 2018 he has been a contract professor of Architectural and Urban Design and advisor of several master’s theses at the School of Architecture and Construction Engineering.
He is currently a research fellow at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies, where he focuses on social housing regeneration and affordable housing production, as part of the Departments of Excellence initiative – “Territorial Fragility 2018-2022” project.
